Our renovation has started whanau. We kicked off on Sunday 22nd November with our project Health and Safety Induction and a clean out of the back shed.
The building crew are the first to be inducted and we will continue to induct each trade prior to them starting work at the marae.
Our Health and Safety signage is up, and the work site is being managed by the trustees each day.
If you intend to visit the marae during the renovation, please ensure you sign into the site upon your arrival. The kohanga is our site office, so please head straight to the kohanga where you can sign in and be inducted to the site.
There may be several trades on site each day and we want to avoid all safety mishaps, so we would really appreciate your support and cooperation. Please also let our mokos know that it’s not a safe place to play during work hours and encourage them to understand the hazards.
It’s been a busy week but great to finally get started! More updates will follow as we kick off and bed in over the coming weeks so stay tuned.
